Worley Jasmine: £1.32M IM Saving Case Study | Sharecat

Without the Sharecat platform and its numerous automated processes, the Jasmine Project would have been far less efficient in processing and managing the volume of information — a key contributor to the success of information management on the project.

OVERVIEW

A two-platform development, tied back to Judy in the UK North Sea.

The Jasmine field is a gas-condensate field located in the UK North Sea, developed via two fixed platforms tied back to the existing nearby Judy platform. The total project cost was approximately $2.6 billion USD, with the execution phase starting in 2010 and first oil achieved in November 2013.

The Sharecat platform was used to handle, collect and validate supplier information for the full duration of the project execution phase — including commissioning, close-out and handover to the ConocoPhillips operations group.

WHY SHARECAT

Supply-chain information accounts for 65 – 75% of asset IM scope.

Deliver the highest quality, complete, digital asset information to meet the requirements of ConocoPhillips.

Before the project began, Worley identified that managing supplier information would form a major part of the IM scope — typically 65% to 75% of the total information based on Sharecat experience.

ConocoPhillips, Worley's client, had adopted a digital approach to managing asset information across the lifecycle from creation through to operational handover. A core element of that approach was the delivery of high-quality, complete equipment information, in structure, for use by the operations group and their systems.

Sharecat was applied as a collaborative, centralised solution specifically for supply-chain information — enabling efficient storage and interaction with supplier documents and data, integrated as part of the project procedures and processes.
